Ban Gioc Waterfall is Southeast Asia's largest transnational waterfall. It spans 300 meters across the Vietnam-China border.
The main waterfall area requires a 45,000 VND entry ticket per adult. Swimming is strictly prohibited due to strong currents and international border regulations. You can view the cascading water from the riverbank or pay an extra 50,000 VND for a 10 to 15-minute bamboo raft ride.
For the best water flow and clear conditions, visit in September or October. Bring your original passport, as this is a heavily monitored border zone.

This is the primary 30-meter drop across tiered limestone on the Vietnam side. It forms the most recognized section of the 300-meter-wide waterfall. Take the bamboo raft ride on the Quay Son River to feel the heavy spray up close. Bring a dry bag to protect your electronics on the water.

Walk further up the path to reach this gentler, multi-threaded flow. Lush jungle foliage surrounds this upper section of the falls. It provides a much quieter spot for photography away from the busy main river rafts.

This official granite marker was set up in 2001. It denotes the exact international border line between Vietnam and China. It sits right on the edge of the river and is a very popular photo location.
